Ballistic Rubber
At ATS Targets, we specialize in Ballistic Materials. That is why we offer fully-vulcanized (VULCAN™) and standard (VIKING) ballistic rubber in various shapes and sizes to meet all of your range needs. Specifically, our Ballistic Materials include blocks, panels, flooring, sheets, and trap media.
ATS Targets pioneered the use of fully-vulcanized ballistic rubber as a bullet stop material when we developed it working directly with the US Army to qualify it for military use. In fact, this environmentally friendly material maximizes the use of recycled rubber while adding virgin rubber and flame retardant to ensure excellent performance and safety.
VULCAN™ Ballistic Knee Walls
At ATS Targets, we aim to build products and equipment that protect your team on the range during your training exercises. That is why we created our Anti-Ricochet Ballistic Knee Walls. Thus, our fully vulcanized anti-ricochet ballistic rubber panels ensure the safety of your personnel and your equipment.
Our Anti-Ricochet Ballistic Knee Walls are vulcanized material. So, it is durable and long-lasting. Unlike a cold press or a polymer-bound material, this product has an increased durometer, similar to an automotive molded tire. As a result, it holds its shape indefinitely, eliminates backside “pop-outs,” does not deteriorate in direct sun exposure, and does not degrade by freeze and thaw cycles, which is ideal for outdoor use.
Our Anti-Ricochet Ballistic Knee Walls include the following unique features:
- Standard panel assemblies are 30-in. tall and 8-ft. long but available in any custom height or length.
- Available with ribbed acoustic texture.
- VULCAN™ 2-in. panels come in standard, Safety-Seam™, or Flip-Lok™.
- The AR500 backer stops bullets with a 3/8-in., 1/2-in., or 3/4-in. galvanized ballistic plate. We can assist in appropriate steel selection for various calibers
- ATS Targets’ industry-leading VULCAN™ panels possess long life and durability.
- Wall panels do not encapsulate the lead and therefore last much longer.

VULCAN™ Ballistic Rubber Blocks
At ATS Targets, we believe that safety and quality are a priority to cultivate the competence that your tactical team needs during your training exercises. So whether your team trains in a shoothouse, shooting range, or other training facilities, we have your back. That is why we created our VULCAN ™ Bullet Encapsulation Blocks. In particular, they are designed to stop bullet penetration (i.e., similar to a bullet trap) into infrastructure, ricochet, shrapnel “back splatter” and “bounce back” from rounds fired at a close range. Manufactured from high-density and vulcanized rubber material, VULCAN ™ Bullet Encapsulation Blocks promote the safety and confidence your tactical team needs to train with peace of mind.

- Each block weighs only 43 lb. for easy handling.

At ATS Targets, we recognize how important safety is for you and your team for all of your training exercises. That is why we created our high-quality VULCAN ™ Anti-Ricochet Ballistic Panels. Manufactured from high-density, vulcanized rubber material, our industry-leading VULCAN ™ Anti-Ricochet Ballistic Panels provide a safeguard so that you can train with peace of mind. It is important to realize that the panels do not stop or encapsulate bullets. Rather, they stop the ricochet and back splatter from misdirected rounds or shrapnel from rounds fired at close range.
The VULCAN™ Anti-Ricochet Ballistic Panels include the following unique features:
- Each panel measures 24-in. by 24-in. by 2-in. and weighs 48 lbs. for easy handling.
- Easily mount VULCAN™ rubber panels to existing walls constructed of steel, wood, and concrete.
- Panels feature flat, paintable surfaces.
- All VULCAN™ ballistic panels can incorporate either our proprietary Safety-Seam™ or Flip-Lok™, which sharply reduces the possibility of an errant round passing through the “common seam” between panels.
- All VULCAN™ ballistic panels come from the same high-density, vulcanized recycled rubber compounds as found in the ATS VULCAN™ ballistic encapsulation blocks.

VULCAN™ Ballistic Rubber Mats and Curtains

So, we understand that safety and quality foster the confidence that your tactical team needs during your training exercises. That is why we created our VULCAN ™ Flexible Ballistic Curtains. Manufactured from high-density, vulcanized rubber material, they promote safety and quality.
Moreover, VULCAN ™ Flexible Ballistic Curtains have blastwave suppression systems capabilities. So, they have a wide variety of uses. To illustrate, consider the following unique applications:
- Use as back splatter in front of bullet traps.
- Also, use as shrapnel protection for personnel and shoothouse walls.
- It can provide layered protection when hung in front of critical infrastructure.
- Use as shoothouse and range anti-ricochet flooring.
- Each panel measures 3/8-in. by 48-in. by 96-in. and weighs 80 lbs. for easy handling.
- With a pebble textured surface on the “facing side” and a flat surface on the “backside,” the VULCAN™ rubber sheet is easily mounted to existing walls constructed of steel, wood, and concrete.
- When used as flooring, it provides traction and ballistic protection all-in-one product.
